The Scenario
As a non-profit organization, our client relies heavily on fundraising events to secure the revenue they need to conduct programs, partner with hospitals, and operate centers to deliver the ongoing care the patients need and deserve. The organization was not comfortable hosting a big in-person event so were looking for alternative event options in order to get funded.
The Challenge
Concerns for the lingering COVID variants are still top-of-mind for many. Doing this event in-person would require flights from several counties, many of which still had some restrictions or concerns around travel. The client was interested in doing the event virtually so they could still fundraise for the organization. Not having an event at all would mean forfeiting potential life-saving funds for the organization.
The Solution
Executive Events was trusted with the planning and management this event. A new virtual event platform was utilized to bring the experience to a higher level and provide more exposure for sponsors. We utilized a live streaming studio to host and mix the live presenters with the pre-recorded videos. We also brainstormed on some of the surprise elements based on the client’s corporate connections. Well-known actress and model, Lydia Hearst, was our event Emcee and we had a special performance by the legendary Dionne Warwick.
