The Scenario
Starbase Victory provides innovative and experiential STEM (science, technology, engineering, math) learning opportunities for all students in the Portsmouth, Virginia public school district. They wanted to host a fundraising and awards dinner to raise money for the STEM program as well as recognize key players who have been pivotal in the program’s success.
The Challenge
Since the organization had never hosted and event before, Executive Events had the onus of making sure the organization conveyed the proper message to it’s supporters. Making sure the event ran smoothly, all of the pieces fit together in the program and raising enough money to cover event expenses while also providing funds for the STEM Program.
The Solution
This was a first-time event for STARBASE Victory so they hired Executive Events to makes sure that the event was profitable and successful. We provided the planning and management for the event and made sure that everything was working towards the goal of the organization. We gave expert guidance in many areas for the event’s development, including budget adherence, sponsorsip engagement, event check-in, ambiance, decor and more. The organization’s team was comprised of their Board of Directors and high-level VIP’s, most of whom had no previous event management experience. Executive Events was thrilled to help bring much needeed funds to the local community.
